So, well organized Christmas decoration storage will help you in three ways :

  • save your time - it is quicker and easier to find those decorations next year
  • save space - they can be easily stacked and organized by using the right boxes
  • save money - you preserves their quality and extends their life span with proper storage system

The following tips will help you to save time and money when storing decorations.

1. Wrap Christmas Ornaments Properly

Since most ornaments are lightweight they can be stored in large boxes. If you still have the original boxes the ornaments came in, then store them in these and then place them in the storage container.

The ideal storage for ornaments is stack-able Christmas ornament plastic storage box with dividers. You can create your own ornament storage box using shoeboxes, but you have to make your own dividers and wrap each ornaments with tissue paper.

2. Use clear plastic storage containers
It is great to use clear plastic storage containers because you can see the contents without having to spend time labeling each box. Plus the plastic helps protect from moisture better than cardboard. Use stackable boxes for small decorations, so it is easy to find and save places. When stacking, be sure to place the largest and heaviest boxes on the bottom and smaller boxes on the top.
